Incorporating elements of meditation, yoga, and mindfulness practices, MBSR is a therapeutic approach designed to cultivate present-moment awareness and reduce stress. Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in the late 1970s, MBSR has gained recognition for its effectiveness in various areas, including addiction treatment.
Addiction often stems from attempts to numb or escape difficult emotions. MBSR equips individuals with skills to manage emotions effectively, reducing the need for substance use as a coping mechanism.
If you are ready to embark on a transformative journey toward recovery, Buckeye Recovery is here to support you. Our comprehensive addiction treatment program, including mindfulness-based stress reduction, offers a holistic approach to healing and growth.
